Axethrower started as a gag project when we were in the middle of an extensive design research project for our finals. We started building an idea of being trapped together in one place with one single weapon, Axethrower was born.
It’s a multiplayer game where you basically run around with an axe and try to kill your opponent, or you have no axe and you’re trying to not be killed. When we showed Axethrower at an exhibition we got an overwhelming response to it, so we decided to just go with it. And so Axethrower became our first game. The game is filled with wackiness, and getting wackier with every day we work on it. But we can not share any more on this just yet.
